Secretary of State Rice Visit to Berlin
February 21, 2007. Secretary Rice will meet with the Quartet in Berlin to discuss the recent agreement reached by the Palestinian government in Saudi Arabia and the next steps in the implementing the Road Map. In addition, Secretary Rice will meet with Foreign Minister Steinmeier and Chancellor Merkel.
Secretary Rice is traveling to Iraq, Jerusalem
and the Palestinian Territories, Amman, Jordan; and Berlin, Germany; February 16
– 22, 2007. In Jerusalem she held bilateral meetings with both Israeli and
Palestinian leaders, as well as a trilateral meeting with President Abbas and
Prime Minister Olmert on February 19. In Amman Secretary Rice met with the King
Abdullah of Jordan and other members of the Jordanian government.
