Secretary Rice Attends G-8 foreign ministerial in Germany
May 30/31, 2007. On May 30, Secretary Rice attended the G-8 Foreign Ministerial in Potsdam. She also participated in a meeting of the Middle East Quartet. On May 31, she was presented the Eric M. Warburg Award of the Atlantik-Brücke.  Dr. Rice was honored for her special merits and her strong commitment, as a member of the National Security Council of President George H. W. Bush, in supporting German Chancellor Dr. Helmut Kohl to achieve German unification in 1989. The award presentation took place at the castle Neue Kammern in Sanssouci park in Potsdam, and Helmut Kohl delivered the laudation.
