The 2011 Trafficking in Persons Report includes more than 180 narratives that assess governments on their efforts to combat trafficking in persons. In keeping with the language and values of the UN Trafficking Protocol, which seek to guarantee prevention, prosecution, and protection for the maximum number of victims, the United States defines trafficking in persons to include all of the conduct involved in forced labor as well as the trafficking of adults and children for commercial sexual exploitation. Selected U.S. Government Reports - 2009/2010
- Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton released the International Religious Freedom Report 2010 on September 13, 2011. The Department of State annually submits the report to Congress; it supplements the most recent Human Rights Reports by providing additional detailed information with respect to matters involving international religious freedom.
- Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report, released June 14, 2010:
As the 2010 Trafficking in Persons Report outlines, trends from South America to the Middle East to Southeast Asia show what we call the "feminization" of human trafficking.
While trafficking victims include men and boys, today the majority of human trafficking victims worldwide are women and girls – and that number is growing. This trend reflects not only the terrible number of victims of sexual slavery, but also victims of labor trafficking—whether they are in farms, factories, or homes as domestic servants.
