Ambassador Coats and und Marsha Coats welcomed twenty actors and dancers of the Musical West Side Story in the embassy on August 23. During the reception the actors of the musical, including Carolann Sanita (Maria), Ryan Silverman (Tony), Lana Gordon (Anita), Robert Johnson (Officer Krupke), Oscoa Laya (Bernado), Paul Stolarsky (Doc), Karl Wahl (Riff) and conductor Bruce Barnes informed themselves about German-American relations and Berlin. The West Side Story makes a guest appearance in the Deutsche Oper Berlin until September 5, 2004.
