Europe: The Realization of a Dream
March 25, 2007. The German capital celebrated the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Rome. To mark the occasion, the U.S. Embassy placed a large banner at the site of its future home on Pariser Platz next to the Brandenburg Gate. The American Embassy in Berlin applauds the first 50 years of the European Union and wishes it well for the next 50 years.
