Manfred Strack
Manfred Strack studied English, Spanish, Linguistics, and Political Science at the University of Münster and American Studies at The University of Texas at Austin. He worked for the U.S. Information Service at the American Consulate General in Düsseldorf, the Amerika Haus in Cologne and the Amerika Haus in Hamburg. Since the closing of the Amerika Haus in Hamburg he has worked in the Public Affairs section of the American Consulate General there. He founded and has served on the board of the Amerikazentrum Hamburg since 1997. He taught a number of courses as an adjunct lecturer for the Institute of English and American Studies at Hamburg University. He is the co-editor (together with Annette Kreutziger-Herr) of Aus der Neuen Welt: Streifzüge durch die amerikanische Musik des 20. Jahrhunderts, Hamburg: Lit Verlag, 1997.
