Rededication of the von Steuben Monument in Potsdam
April 30, 2005.
Chargé Cloud took part in the rededication ceremony of the monument of Friedrich Wilhelm Baron von Steuben, the first Inspector General of the American Military (1778-1784). The rededication of the momument to Baron von Steuben, who stood with George Washington during the darkest moments of the American Revolution, is a fitting testimony to German-American friendship in both the past and today.
