Secretary of the Treasury Henry M. Paulson, Jr., met with his German counterpart, Finance Minister Peer Steinbrück, at the Finance Ministry in Berlin to discuss issues related to the upcoming G7 meetings and German economic outlook and reforms. Subsequent to their meeting, Secretary Paulson met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel at the Chancellery to discuss key policy issues of shared interest related to the transatlantic partnership.
