In the context of the embassy's school outreach program, Ambassador Coats and his delegation of eight American policy advisors entered into discourse with students from various schools in Magdeburg on June 8, 2004. The German-American Dialogue Center of Magdeburg supported this initiative and coordinated activities on the ground. This program is intended to offer young people in Germany a chance for increased exchange of ideas and opinions about fundamental aspects of American society, history and culture with their American counterparts.
