 Louis Begley
 Louis Begley
Novelist and retired lawyer Louis Begley is a survivor of the Holocaust. He was born in Poland in 1933 and came to the U.S. in 1946. He attended Harvard University, served in the U.S. Army from 1954-56, and graduated with honors from Harvard Law School in 1959. Louis Begley has received numerous awards for his literary work, including the PEN/Ernest Hemingway Foundation Award, Prix Médicis Etranger, The Irish Times-Aer Lingus International Fiction Prize, the American Academy of Arts and Letters Award in Literature, the Harold U. Ribalow Prize; the Jeanette-Schocken-Preis (Bremerhavener Bürgerpreis für Literatur), and the Konrad Adenauer-Stiftung Literaturpreis. His novels have been translated into fifteen languages.

His works include:
