April 2, 2007. Daniel Fried, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, was in Berlin on April 2, 2007 conducting a press roundtable with German and international media. He spoke on issues such as missile defense, Kosovo, US-Russia relations, and the British marines and sailors being held by Iran. With regard to the current debate in Germany on Missile Defense, Fried explained that he would be meeting with German officials to discuss the U.S. program.
