Ambassador Coats' Farewell Tour through Germany
January & February 2005.
Ambassador Coats traveled to a number of major German cities in January and February on a "farewell tour". Among his stops were Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Leipzig in January and Frankfurt and Munich in February, addressing the audience with farewell remarks. He gave his last speech in Berlin on February 25. In his farewell remarks he emphasized that the importance of the German-American partnership had been reconfirmed. Farewell Address
