America@yourlibrary is a partnership initiative between the U.S. Embassy and public libraries in Germany. It is based on the American Library Association’s @yourlibrary® campaign which showcases libraries as centers for learning, information and entertainment in their communities.

• April 16, 2009 - Leipzig Librarians Meet "The Hollywood Librarian"
The third screening of the "Hollywood Librarian" in the consular district took place at Leipzig's University of Applied Sciences.



• March 3, 2009 - Consul General Visits Libraries in Saxony
In two articles, the March 2009 edition of the magazine for libraries (BIS-Bibliotheken in Sachsen) voiced its appreciation for Consul General Katherine Brucker's engagement with libraries throughout Saxony.

• February 5, 2009 - Leipzig Celebrates Black History Month
Consul General Katherine Brucker carried out a "Meet US" program at Leipzig municipal library, one of Consulate's America@Your Library partner.

• February 3-5, 2009 - U.S. Experts at International Bielefeld Conference
The 9th International Conference (Feb. 3-5, 2009), organized by Bielefeld University Library, provided insights into the future of eLibraries, innovative technologies, new concepts of knowledge networking, and economic issues involved in today's library management. 

• January 23, 2009 - Herborn goes America: EducationUSA and Network of Media Centers at Johanneum Gymnasium
an EducationUSA evening information session organized by the Network of Media Centers (IMeNS) at Johanneum Gymnasium Herborn drew 60 students and parents.
