Adding pages to your Passport

If your passport is still valid, and in good condition, but you have run out of pages for visas and entry/exit stamps, there is no need to obtain a whole new passport.  Additional pages can normally be added twice to a passport book before the book must be replaced. Additional pages will not be added to passports which are in poor condition, damaged or mutilated.

There is no fee for adding new pages to your passport.

The following are required to add pages to your Passport:

  • DS-4085 - Application for Additional Visa Pages
  • Current U.S. passport
  • Self-addressed stamped envelope (EUR 3.60 if registered mail is required)

Applications can be either mailed in or in urgent cases done at your local Embassy/Consulate.

Where will you be Mailing or Bringing In your Application?

Please Note:

Processing time for mail-in applications is approximately 2-3 weeks.
